Cohiba Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been in production since the mid 1960's. The brand was created when one of Fidel Castro's bodyguards shared one of his privately made cigars created by Eduardo Ribera, the cigars pleased Castro enough for him to make an unbranded special blend just for himself and other high ranking government officials.
Romeo y Julieta
Romeo y Julieta Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1875 and was named after the famous tragedy written by shakespeare. The brand has won multiple awards at various tasting exhibitions.
Montecristo
Montecristo Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1935 and the name was inspired by a novel by Alexandre Dumas called The Count of Monte Cristo. This novel was chosen because it was a popular choice with the cigar rollers in Cuba.
Partagás
Partagás Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1845. Partagás was established in Havana, Cuba and is among the oldest brands of cigars. The name Partagás the Cuban term for Royal Tobacco Factory and this name was chosen because Partagásused to supply cigars the the European and Asian nobilities in the world.
Hoyo de Monterrey
Hoyo de Monterrey Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1865. The brand became very popular in the British market in the late 1800's. Hoyo de Monterrey has one of the biggest cigar factories in Cuba.
Troya
Troya Cuba Cigars were made in pre-revolutionary Cuba in 1932 and were originally produced by Martinez y Cia. The name was inspired by the Trojan War as depicted in the epic poem the Iliad by ancient Greek author Homer.The Troya cigar brand once consisted of eight cigars, but there is only one model that is still produced in the brand, the Coronas Club Tubulares.
Belinda
Belinda Cuban Cigars are a much-appreciated Cuban brand started in 1882, the full-flavored Belinda was re-introduced by Cubatabaco as a machine-made in 1987, aimed primarily at the Eastern European market, with whom Cuba had strong trade relations at the time. This explains the small size of the range, which are totally machine-made, or machine-bunched with a hand-rolled wrapper.
Quintero
Quintero Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1924.These cigars have gained much popularity with the Spanish cigar smokers of the world. This brand is also the only cigars that are marketed globally by the Habanos SA.
Cuaba
Cuaba Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1996.González claims he styled the Cuaba blend after Montecristo, but most cigar connoisseurs believe the blend used is more similar in taste to Romeo y Julieta. Coincidentally enough, most Cuaba cigars are manufactured in the Briones Montoto (Romeo y Julieta) factory.
Rafael Gonzalez
Raphael Gonzalez Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1928. This brand is also reputed to have introduced the Lonsdale size, named in honour of Hugh Cecil Lowther, the Fifth Earl of Lonsdale.
Ramon Allones
Ramon Allones Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1845. The brand was created by brothers Ramón and Antonio Allones.Ramon Allones was the first brand to utilize bands on cigars. The cigars are also produced in the Partagas cigar factory.
Bolivar
Bolivar Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1921. Bolivar used to be know for having the worlds smallest cigar available. The brand was sold in 1954 and moved to the famous Partagas cigar factory.
Fonseca
Fonseca Cuban Cigars are produced in Cuba for the Habanos SA (Cuban State Owned Tobacco Company). These cigars have been being produced since 1892. Fonseca cigars quickly became a success and Don Francisco was responsible for innovative practices such as wrapping his cigars in fine Japanese tissue paper (as they still are today) and packaging cigars in tin tubes.
Jose L. Piedra
Jose L. Piedra is a popular brand of Cuban Cigars for domestic consumption in Cuba. Apart from the original six smaller Jose L. Piedra cigars which are machine-made, which are made in the regional factory in Santa Clara, Cuba, this Jose L. Piedra brand continues to have very competitive pricing. Jose L. Piedra brand cigars are considered to have a mild-to-medium body with strong flavours.
